Adoption Process & Fees
The dogs at Little Traverse Bay Humane Society are eagerly awaiting their chance to join your family. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.
Dog Adoption Fees
Medium/Large Breed Dogs (1 year and older): $250.00
Small Breed Dogs/Puppies (younger than 1 year): $300.00
Our cats are looking forward to joining your family. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for Feline Leukemia.
Cat Adoption Fees
Cats (1 year and older): $50.00
Kittens (younger than 1 year): $75.00, 2 kittens $100.00
Adoption Process
If you would like to adopt an animal, you may fill out an electronic application, or visit our shelter in person at any time during hours of operation. Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. Shelter staff will try to respond to your application as quickly as possible.
Pet Insurance
Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has partnered with Shelter Care to provide you with a 30 day free gift of insurance after you adopt your pet from Little Traverse Bay Humane Society. All you need to do is check for an email from ShelterCare.com. You will need to click on the link in the email to confirm your coverage and download your insurance documents which will explain in detail what is covered and when it begins.
