We are excited to announce that we’ve reached our goal of raising the much needed funds for our Bucks for Boone campaign!
Over the course of three weeks we have raised $2,000 which covers Boone’s heartworm treatment. This treatment includes medication, x-rays, and the heartworm treatment itself. The treatment has enabled this special dog to get a second chance at life. Boone, who was rescued from a high kill shelter, was brought to us by a caring individual who knew Boone would make a great pet, and we couldn’t agree more! Since starting his heartworm treatment, Boone has gained weight, gotten a lot of rest and been recovering at the home of his foster family. He is doing extremely well and we expect him to make a full recovery. We are also excited that several individuals and families have expressed an interest in adopting Boone once his treatment is complete!
None of this could have been accomplished without the support of all of you, however. We are so grateful to everyone who has been inspired by this special dog to contribute to his recovery. It is with the support of our donors and members that we’ve been able to save over 500 animals this year, including ones with medical issues like Boone.
We will continue to fight for animals like Boone and aim to give them all a second chance at life. We invite you to donate toward the Michael G. Phillips Good Samaritan Fund which helps us do just that. The Good Samaritan Fund provides emergency health care to animals who have critical medical conditions that are often expensive to treat. With your support we can continue to make the dream of a forever home come true for other animals out there like Boone.
