LTBHS Testimonials

Rogan
rogan_resizedThank you so much for the amazing opportunity you gave Rogan and me. The dogs and I have been running everyday now. When we are not running, playing or cuddling, Rogan and I have been working hard learning tricks and manners. He is doing amazingly well! We are so happy, this sweet boy has joined our family.

Adopt a Dog

Bourbon

My name is Bourbon. I was found by a family who, unfortunately, was unable to keep me. I love to play with other dogs and I'm friendly with children. I'm only six months old so I have lots of energy. I really would love to attend my free session of dog obedience training that comes with my adoption. If you're in the market for a fun loving family dog, please come meet me.

Adopt a Cat

Henriette

My name is Henriette and I was found as a stray with my sister, Sally. We are both lovable cats who had a home once but for some reason, our family didn't want us anymore. We are three years old and would love to go to a home together since we've already been through so much and have only had each other to rely on.

The chilly nights and shorter days are indicators that summer is over... and what a summer it was for LTBHS! In all of my years as Executive Director, I have never experienced the level of activities that we experienced this summer.

Deter Racine Little Traverse Bay Humane SocietyEach event that LTBHS hosted met one of two goals: To find homes for our adoptable pets or to raise the much needed funds to care for our shelter animals.

As we reflect on the busy summer of 2011, we are truly grateful that we have such a supportive community to help fund the important mission that drives everything we do: To offer a warm shelter, veterinary care, and personal attention to all animals in our care and to provide proactive methods to control pet overpopulation.

Additionally, we are also thinking about and planning for the next year and the important projects that lie ahead. It’s time to celebrate the past and to embrace the future – our homeless animals depend on it!
